to Excellence Workshop
Coaching
to Excellence is a two-day workshop that builds the foundation
of effective coaching for aspiring coaches, change agents, managers,
and leaders who want to learn how to build capability, expand effectiveness,
and enhance fulfillment in others.
The workshop
content is licensed from New Ventures
West, the leading source of training and development for coaches.
What happens in the workshop?
As a participant in this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of
coaching through lecture, discussion, and practice. You will practice
coaching other participants, discover your learning edge as a coach, and
learn to become more effective in evoking long-term excellence from others.
You will also play the role of client and receive coaching from other
participants on actual problems from your own work or life experience.
There is an overnight homework assignment that will take about thirty
to sixty minutes to complete. Please plan to have time available to complete
the assignment.
Workshop enrollment is limited to 18 participants.
What results can participants expect from completing this workshop?
Upon completing this workshop,
- you will be a more competent and effective coach,
- you will be more skillful in fostering mutual respect and trust
with the people you coach or manage, and
- you will be more able to recognize openings for coaching and effectively
intervene to develop capabilities in the people that you coach.
This workshop satisfies the prerequisites for New
Ventures West's Professional Coaching Course.

What materials are distributed to participants?
You will receive a copy of
"Coaching: Evoking Excellence in Others" by James Flaherty
and a workbook containing the workshop content, assessment models, and
practices.
Tuition
The tuition is $595 and is due before the start of the workshop. A $50
non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space. If you withdraw
from the workshop prior to the start, you can either transfer your credit
(paid tuition minus the non-refundable deposit) to another offering or
receive a refund check
Registration
To
begin the registration process, submit the following information. To complete
the registration process mail the $50 deposit to the office.
Make checks out to "Compassionate Coaching." We will confirm
your space in the workshop upon completion of the registration process.
